WHY THE OFFICIAL THEORY IS FALSE

No steel-framed building had ever collapsed due to fire. Due to the properties of steel, three conditions must be present for the collapse of a steel-framed building. Fires must be intense, long-lasting and large relative to the amount of steel in the building.

The corollary is that every previous total collapse was due to a controlled demolition. The Twin Towers, like WTC-7, exhibited all of the features of a controlled demolition. The official theory cannot account for any of them.

1) Sudden onset. Buildings are still, then suddenly the collapse starts as supporting columns are sliced by explosives. The Towers were motionless before they collapsed with no bending of the vertical steel columns and no video evidence of floors sagging.

A fire-induced collapse, if there were an example of one, would be gradual as floors would sag and vertical columns would bend.

2) Straight down. One of the hallmarks of a controlled demolition is the buildings fall in their own footprint so surrounding buildings aren't harmed. The Towers didn't land in their own footprint but came straight down centered around their vertical axes.

Again, due to the bending of steel a fire-induced collapse would asymmetric.

3) Near free-fall speed. According to NIST who authored the definitive government report on the collapses of the Towers, the North and South Towers fell in 11 and 9 seconds respectively. Free-fall from their height in a vacuum would be 9.2 seconds.

Because floors were pulverized from the top down, free-fall would not be necessary. The rate of collapse would be determined by the detonation timing.

Pancaking floors would be slowed by the resistance of the floors in accordance with the Law of Momentum Conservation .

4) Sliced steel. Explosives are used to cut through the vertical support columns into pieces. The steel is also generally cut into manageable lengths. Researcher Jim Hoffman observed most of the perimeter columns were sliced into 30 foot sections and the core columns sliced into sections a few stories high.

It takes high temperatures and directed energy to slice through steel.

5) Pulverization of concrete and non-metallic material. Explosives powerful enough to cut through steel can pulverize concrete. Virtually all of the concrete and non-metallic materials were pulverized into a fine talc-like powder while the building was falling.

Gravity can break the concrete into pieces but does not have the energy to pulverize it into dust. According to MIT scientist Jeff King this pulverization requires the breaking of chemical bonds, it is not a physical process.

6) Horizontal ejections. In controlled demolitions, there are horizontal ejections of dust and material from areas the explosives are set off. The ejections from the Towers were far more energetic, however. Massive steel beams were ejected in all directions at distances of up to 500 ft. and aluminum cladding was thrown up to 700 ft. away.

Gravity, of course, is a vertical force.

7) Total collapse. The Towers were reduced to rubble only a few stories high. Prior to and after 9/11 the only total collapses of steel-framed, high-rise buildings (aside from earthquakes where the building topples) were due to controlled demolitions.

Even if all the floors had pancaked, which they clearly did not, that would not account for the failure of the vertical steel columns.

8) Pyroclastic Flow. Controlled demolitions produce huge dust clouds when dust is ejected with great energy. Dust clouds were evident with a second of the buildings' collapse and expanded to many times the volume of each Tower.

Jim Hoffman calculated that the heat required for the dust clouds was over ten times the potential gravitational energy of the buildings.

9) Squibs, indicative of cutter charges. Horizontal ejections of white-grey smoke are seen below the collapsing areas. The location of the plumes corresponds to the location of the core columns.

Although it's been theorized the squibs were pressure releases from pancaking floors, the floors were pulverized with much of the debris thrown outside the fooprint of the building.

10) Molten metal in the basements areas. The high temperatures explosives generate to slice through steel produces molten metal. There were numerous accounts of molten metal buried under the rubble.

It requires temperatures of 5200 degrees F to liquify metal. The maximum temperature jet fuel reaches is approximately 1500 degrees F. Further, it quickly burned off leaving ordinary office fires that were relatively cool, oxygen-starved fires as indicated by the thick, black smoke.

11) Sounds produced by explosives. The 9/11 oral histories recorded by the Fire Dept. of New York (FDNY) contains numerous accounts of the occurances of explosives. One could perhaps argue that the explosive sounds were caused by gas lines. However, given that the collapses exhibited all the characteristics of a controlled demolition, it's clear that the sounds heard were caused by explosives. For example:

"There was just an explosion [in the South Tower]. It seemed like on television [when] they blow up these buildings."

GUARDED PESSIMISM by Andy Senior

As an incorrigible skeptic sailing under the nominal registration of Democrat, I'd have to say that my mood right now may be characterized as "guarded pessimism." I did permit myself a few beers last night in observance of the Changing of the Guard; such libations being analogous to those consumed on any given New Year's Eve. ("Happy New Year!" is more of a cry of desperation than an assertion.) The fact is, they are still the Guard, and we are still the ones being Guarded.

The outlandish hubris of those now packing their bags to go at last offended the most brain-constipated voters in our nation, and faced with a choice between the sybaritic cast of perverted and corrupt Republicans and a gaggle of shiny new Democrats not much further to the left than their opponents, those voters opted for the Same Great Service Under New Management. Even the programmers of the rigged voting machines concurred.

It may feel like a purifying ritual, fumigating the stench of graft and hypocritical sodomy from our government, but the sanctimony of the other side (there being, by law, two sides) will rot and reek in its turn. When the virtuous Democrats invade our privacy "for our own good" will we hear the same yelps of outrage? When President Hillary moves to contain dissidents "for our nation's security," will her champions say, "Hey, wait a minute?"

I have no great hopes of the official story of September 11, 2001 being exploded in a new surge of truth and retribution. When it comes to telling the 9/11 Truthers to "shaddap!" no one does it more vehemently than their ostensible allies, the Democrats. They have just as much to gain by playing the Terror card, and will not relinquish it lightly. They will try to fight the War on Terror more "sensibly," but they will never allow examination of the basic assumptions of whether such a conflict really exists. When the Democrats take office, the 9/11 Truthers will become further marginalized in the controlled public debate, and may find themselves branded Traitors for their hard-headed insistence that 9/11 was an inside job.

Both parties funnel directly to despotism, through kicks and caresses alternately. Bush is the very model of a modern Mussolini, albeit with a weaker chin. Mario Cuomo, scholar and embodiment of compassion, hugged his state so tightly as governor that it began to feel like suffocation. Now his son is New York Attorney General, and is poised to reopen the flow of Governmental Love. The movement of this balance wheel between jack-booted brutality and the smothering of the Mommy State keeps the cycle of oppression in perfect time. You can set your watch by it.

And somewhere, Hegel is smiling.

The collapses of the World Trade Center Buildings on 9/11 exhibited all the features of a controlled demolition. WTC -7 fell suddenly into its own footprint at free-fall speed. The Towers came down centered around their vertical axes with 500 ft. lateral ejections of massive steel beams and the pulverization of virtually all of the non-metallic material into fine powder.
The manner in which the buildings collapsed is inconsistent with the official theory of fire-induced, gravitational collapses. The discrepancy proves so problematic that NIST, who produced the definitive government report on the collapses of the Towers simply chose not to address it. (Nor does NIST address WTC-7.) The NIST report "does not include the structural behavior of the Tower(s) after conditions for collapse initiation were reached." Further, NIST obtained collapse initiation via computer simulations which they refuse to release.
What else could this indicate but a cover-up and high-level government complicity?

The Day No Moles Would Die

It is time for those in the 9/11 Truth effort to stop squandering the precious time and energy employed in responding to and attempting to refute (however successfully) any and all theories not sanctioned by the government that purport to bolster the "official" version of events. This would include the Rube Goldberg fantasies proffered by Popular Mechanics (in either periodical or book form), speculations by radio pundits and televised talking heads, editorial pronouncements from self-appointed "conspiracy debunkers" of Pitts-Cockburn-Taibbi stripe, and the sly brickbats cast by anonymous "experts" lurking in internet chat rooms.

Whether these moles are bona fide government shills floating trial balloons that the Washington establishment itself is too craven to endorse, or are merely proud Americans so far gone in terminal cognitive constipation that, however much they hate the current Administration, they assert the government "would never do anything like that," we must refrain from whacking them. (The latter are actually the more troublesome subset of hecklers, since they acknowledge the villainy of the elite while exonerating it of its most obvious crime.) Though pesky they may seem, they do not actually endanger our lawn. They exist instead to cloud and distort the issue, and to keep 9/11 Truth-seekers occupied in replying to their diversions and hallucinations. They feed on our attention, and any retort helps them to flourish.

There is but one Official Theory on the collapse of the buildings at the World Trade Center, and that is the account embodied in the ten-thousand-page report (produced at the cost of twenty million dollars) of the National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST). Any other theory is simply not worth responding to. The NIST document, being the story offered by the government itself to cover and cloud its own wrongdoing, is the account that every 9/11 Truth researcher and activist must refute through concerted effort.

Fortunately, for all its bulk, the NIST report is easily demolished. It may be handily discredited through its assertion that the Towers fell as a result of the jet-fuel fires (after the planes dislodged the fireproofing material), its computer models manipulated to provide an outcome favorable to its own case, its refusal to show the visualizations of events leading to the moment the buildings were poised for collapse, its lack of data concerning the structural behavior of the buildings after the initiation of collapse, and its absence of any mention of the free-fall implosion of WTC Building Seven.

Directing the main force of the 9/11 Truth effort toward debunking this mendacious and unscientific document should be our primary concern. Once this Official Theory is proven conclusively to be a sham and that proof is made evident to all, let the moles, shills, Kool-Aid dipsomaniacs, and keepers of the flame of cognitive dissonance shout their cacophony of denial from the housetops. If we then need to respond, it should be with howls of laughter and the occasional well-aimed bit of ripe produce.

Thoughts on Autumn in America by Andy Senior

The more I consider the what the Sacred Franchise of Suffrage actually grants us, the more it seems like a choice between flavors of Kool-Aid at Jonestown. Here ignorance is bliss (and denial is Valhalla) but the prospect of lying to myself provokes nearly as nauseous a feeling as the candidates we are given to vote for. Every race above that of Village Dogcatcher is rigged, fixed, and fixed again so that there is absolutely no danger that we may elect someone who has our best interests at heart or who might actually make a real difference.

At the top we have Hillary Clinton, who has proven to an avid warhawk and represents everything the "other" side stands for. The proof of that is, in the little Pro-Wrestling pre-game known as political punditry, she is slammed as a "liberal" while the GOP elite have not attempted to run anyone worth mentioning against her. Yet to say so is being "disloyal" to the Democratic [sic] Party, and even people who really should know better shout "Treason!" and rush to her defense. In one of the more disquieting aspects of the 9/11 Truth effort, Professor James H. Fetzer has all but vowed to take a bullet for her. (If things proceed along the current trajectory, he may very well end up doing so.) Hillary is so obviously being groomed for 2008 as part of the Bush-Clinton-Bush-Clinton continuum. Despite Rush Limbaugh's pharmaceutically-induced frothings, this has already been ordained by the upper eschelon.

Gubernatorial candidate Eliot Spitzer seems better than Hillary, but as New York Attorney General he has been given the details in the case of September 11, 2001 and has not moved to investigate further. Much less evidence than exists regarding the self-inflicted nature of the World Trade Center bombings has sent many people to prison for other crimes. I suppose a legal pit bull like Spitzer would be all over this but for the ambition leading him to the greater glory of the Governor's Mansion.

Our local congressional district race fills me with more chagrin. For the first time in 24 years, the seat is open and the ostensible Democrats have a chance to take it. The "other" side boasts Ray Meier, a candidate who has been duly anointed by Dick Cheney and Bush's robot wife. His opponent, our District Attorney Michael Arcuri, is a dapper centrist (assuming the center to be on the right shoulder of the road) who refuses to give interviews to those who might actually ask him a probing question. He has stated publicly that he supports HR 6166 (the vile Military Commissions Act which gives the government the go-ahead to torture suspects, and revokes habeas corpus) because "it's important to protect American soldiers." What about protecting American citizens from their own government?

Yet his supporters are flummoxed into believing him a "liberal." In a particularly disgraceful episode my own sister-in-law wrote in today's Utica Observer-Dispatch:

"I now know why I want Michael Arcuri to represent me in Congress. It is important that we get someone in Washington who is going to protect our constitutional rights from President Bush.

"President Bush signed an anti-terrorism law that could take away our right to protest against him. I could protest the war and be charged as a military combatant, and sit in jail with no rights to an attorney or a trial. To me that is very scary.

"President Bush is slowly taking away our constitutional right of free speech."

(I had already written her of Arcuri's stance on HR 6166, so I can only hope that she submitted the letter beforehand. I don't mind thinking her a fool, but I am not ready to brand her a liar.)

The candidate we could have had, Les Roberts, is an epidemiologist involved in the first Lancet study determining that over 100,000 Iraqis had been killed as a result of our unprovoked war. Obviously, aside from the fact that voters grazing in the hinterlands of the 24th Congressional District would have reviled him as a Libby Lib Lib who values live Iraqis over God's Precious Frozen Blastocysts, the upper eschelon couldn't risk the possibility of having a truth-teller win the seat. Beautiful but dumb (with a scintilla of Fascism) is their ideal.

It's obvious from all this that the genial fiction of Democracy is collapsing in a big way. Shall the people revolt, and "take back their country?" Good luck. A general strike might have some effect, but Americans are such television-hypnotized sheep that they would equate "strike" with "unions" and we know all about them unions. Since the media is a de facto arm of the government, expect no sympathy for those in revolt. Why, they're Terrorists!

The only solution I can see to this state of affairs is individual autonomy--an intellectual and ethical self-sufficiency which I would call Anarchy for One. It simply calls for building one's inner resources of health, strength, and mental resolve so that "they" have no power--so that, having removed oneself from contact with presumed authority wherever and whenever possible, on those occasions that contact with the state is forced it will have as little effect as possible. Some will find this through faith in God, and others through sheer force of will, but it is our last and best defense against all bullies.

This requires that we stop feeding ourselves garbage, intellectually and physically. No more broadcast television, and radio only from the most reliable (non-corporate) truth-tellers. Everything we see and hear and read is potentially propaganda, so we must constantly monitor what it is saying and our reactions to it. We shouldn't expose ourselves to ostensibly factual programming (including PBS or anything else with a corporate foundation grant) that provokes an emotional, knee-jerk response--unless we have mentally trained ourselves to observe it without being swamped by its manipulations. And we should avoid all food that is convenient, if possible. Processed or fast food will not sustain us in our resolve.

If things are going to get worse in what was once America, we have to be in a place where "they" can't touch us--and even if they kill us, they still can't touch us.

I have just composed and sent Victor Thorn a reply to his essay The Cancer: A Response. Why it should be so wearying trying to defend my right not to hate anyone, I don't know. Perhaps because it shouldn't be necessary at all.

Thanks for taking the time to respond at length to my letter. I see also
that you made your response the WING-TV essay du jour, and so I have posted
a link to your response, along with my original message to you, at our
website, Uticans for 9/11 Truth.

I think you're being disingenuous on the matter of hatred. If hatred wasn't
what you were expressing, does that mean that you love the Jews? That you
feel indifferent to them? Now, I'm not talking about the State of Israel or
the Zionists, who have much to answer for. In 9-11 Evil you were right to
cite their institutional or organizational wrongdoing. Every time I hear
the name "Rachel Corrie" or consider the plight of the Palestinians I feel
ill. But you slam Kevin Barrett as an "apologist" when he dares to suggest
that Jews of his acquaintence might be decent people. If that's not
hatred, it'll do until the real thing comes along.

[By the way, the expression is "NAMBY-pamby" derived from the name of poet
Ambrose Philips (1674-1749) who was given to writing verse of a sickly-sweet
nature in praise of childhood. I thought that you, as an author and
publisher, might appreciate knowing the correct phrase.]

Aside from the fact that you're the first person ever to imply that I'm
Politically Correct in any way, I have to say that your assessment of the
hatred coming from the run-of-the-mill Jewry is overwrought. "All Jews hate
anyone who isn't Jewish." Does that include the Jews who went down South
trying to get civil rights for the blacks and got killed for their pains?
Does that include the Jews who have brought joy to millions through music,
acting, literature, and comedy? Did you ever laugh at a Marx Brothers
movie? They weren't Episcopalians, yet they were funny as hell--no
Political Correctness there.

I'm not doing "nothing," and in fact it doesn't bother me that certain rabid
types might call me an anti-Semite for conceding (as I have in my Amazon
review of 9-11 Evil) that you raise certain valid points regarding Israel's
complicity in the events of 9/11. I've been called names my whole life, and
I don't answer to any of them. Where I think you're wrong is in saying that
the "perverted teachings of Judaism" (i.e., the Talmud) has warped every Jew
into a sociopathic pretzel. How many Jews actually know and follow the
Talmud? How many Christians know all the freaky stuff that's in the Bible?
I'd say that most Catholics don't know it at all. Yet I'll venture to say
that knowledge of the Bible among believers is much more common than any
knowledge of the Talmud, which is more esoteric, among Jews. Jews know the
Torah, perhaps, but not so much the other. But supposing you're right. . .

So this is "war" with the Jews, is it? Then how do we fight it? "Don't
fire until you see the hooks of their noses?" Many have already had their
noses fixed. So how do we tell them apart from us? Will it be that
telltale whiff of gefilte fish? A stray crumb from a Kosher macaroon? Or
will it be the indefinable air of superiority of the Chosen? Name tags
would be a big help.

Seriously, I can't buy it. Not because I'm intoxicated by mainstream media.
I don't watch television. Our local newspaper is for the dog to urinate on.
Nor do I much get into the Amy and Noam Show. WING-TV is actually one of
the few things I've followed (and I have linked you to our site) owing to
your fine work on the WTC and Shanksville. If I imbibe other media at all,
it's generally pre-1940 music, old-time radio, and classic movies. So, I'm
about as far out of the "Matrix" as you can get. And I'm still not buying
it. So if I'm getting disinfo, I'm getting it either from you or from
Bennie Moten's Kansas City Orchestra. (Or maybe it's those rascally Marx
Brothers, at that.)

I'm not paranoid enough to sit home cleaning my guns waiting for Shylock and
Barabas (or Sheldon and Irving) to break in to ravish my wife and steal my
piano. First of all, my wife is descended from Eleanor of Aquitaine and
teaches middle school. She can take care of herself. Second of all, it
just ain't gonna happen, metaphorically or otherwise.

The Israeli/Zionist juggernaut does wield considerable power, but it isn't
the only player in this scrimmage. Why is it all the Jewish studio heads
fell into submission in 1934 at the behest of the Vatican? The Breen Office
ruled Hollywood, and dictated content, for 20 years--and Joe Breen was one
nasty mother superior. And the Freemasons are not to been lightly brushed
aside--I've talked to people who've had their lives ruined by falling afoul
of the Masons. And the Saudis own how much of this country? And the
Chinese own how much?

If our way of life is at stake, it isn't the Jew World Order that's
threatening us. "Going after the Jews" is just another quick-fix, feel-good
response for those who can't fathom the true complexity of the world's power
structure. (Or is that just what THEY would want me to think?)

Egad! I've spent enough time in this particular rabbit hole tonight.
Suddenly, I desire nothing more than to watch "Duck Soup"
again--particularly the scene where Chico Marx says, "Who are you gonna
believe--me, or your own eyes?" Words to live by.

Our column/TV show yesterday had nothing to do with hatred - it was done for one reason: our government and society is being overtaken by a force that doesn't have our best interests in mind. Rather, it is promoting an Agenda that is solely for their benefit. This has been happening for decades now, and little has been done to stop it. Should we continue to mamby-pamby this subject, or hit the bull between the eyes?

This is a SERIOUS problem that involves the very survival of our country and our way of life. Should we just throw rose-petals at the problem, or tip-toe around in a state of political correctness? They're DESTROYING us via astronomical debt, wars, fake terrorism, and an overall sickness that permeates our body politic like a cancer to bone marrow. What is your solution? To ignore it.

Plus, you accuse some commentators of spewing "hatred," yet the people we're exposing absolutely and undeniably HATE us. Read their religious tracts. They refer to us as "goyim" --- human cattle ... animals. That's their opinion, and that's the status they've allotted us. In this same vein, they exhibit a superiority (i.e. the "Chosen People") that - at least in their minds - gives them the "right" to overtake and enslave us.

Does that settle well with you? If so, then rollover right now and play dead, because if you continue doing nothing, all that America was built upon and made it great will cease to exist. Sure, our nation has made countless egregious mistakes in the past, but its form of government (at least in theory) is the greatest ever created. Yet in the last 50+ years, a tiny fabricated nation in the Middle East that we helped to create via WWII has been infiltrating, strong-arming, and betraying us with wild abandon and increased arrogance. Look at Ariel Sharon's quote about how Israel controls the American people, and "we know it!" How about Israel's deliberate, bloodthirsty assault on the USS Liberty in 1967, or their central role in the 9-11 terrorist attacks (not to mention their numerous spy scandals, etc). Should we simply overlook such sickness? If that's your choice, then so be it; but I'm not keeping my mouth shut any longer. These are psychopathic monsters we're dealing with, and the finger of blame must be pointed at two entities: the perverted teachings of Judaism, and the government of Israel.

From my perspective, you're doing exactly and precisely what our enemies want you to do, and that is NOTHING. Due to their overt propaganda and threats of "anti-semitism," they've created a climate where everyone is afraid to lay blame and fight against those who are killing us. Is that how you would treat a cancer ... by simply ignoring it, or getting over-the-counter medications that are obviously ineffective?

In war, people must fight. If they don't, they lose. It's that simple. Read any book on military strategy and you'll see this statement is true.

The monsters we're exposing now control our Congress, foreign policy, White House, banks, mainstream media (and alternative media to a large extent), and big business. They suckered us into the disastrous Iraqi War, and Scott Ritter has recently stated that Israel is the country luring us into a potential war with Iran (complete with nukes and mass destruction).

Isn't that enough for you? What will it take to put a fire under your ass and fight the enemy? Maybe a staged suitcase dirty bomb in your own neighborhood that kills thousands of people, and sickens countless others (like the contamination at Ground Zero that is debilitating untold heroes that cleaned-up after an act of state-sponsored terrorism that was orchestrated by Israel-first neo-cons and the nation of Israel).

The writing is clearly on the wall, yet you still want to be an apologist for the forces that are trying to quiet the truth-tellers. Even your terminology is directly from their mind-control playbook.

Can't you see? Those who are exposing Israel's crimes aren't "haters" ... they're the last vestige of hope we have to de-fang this grotesque beast that is intent on undermining and sabotaging the United States of America (and the world at large).

You need to read your history books (the real ones), and open your eyes to reality. A Matrix of control has been created to subdue you and silence your voice. And believe me, this tactic isn't accidental. Rather, it has been meticulously planned and implemented by those who very forces we are decrying ... yet you accept the Matrix, like the automatons in George Orwell's 1984.

Why? If somebody broke into your house and raped your wife, killed your children, and stole all your possessions; what would you do? Nothing, or fight back? The same applies to the CANCER I wrote about yesterday. They're the savage beast that starts wars, robs us via usury, and attacks us to create unending chaos and fear (9-11).

It's time for people to not only expose these bastards, but to start fighting back. So many want to place blame on shadowy entities like the "New World Order," "globalists," and "Illuminati," ... but this is merely another tried-and-true tactic of those in the protection racket to divert attention away from the real culprits.

I guess the ultimate question is: are you going to continue falling for this blatant disinformation, or face reality and spread the truth about our situation? After all, there's not all that much at stake ... only the survival of our country, and our way of life.

Yesterday, WING TV produced a program on removing the "cancer" from the 9/11 Truth effort, with special reference to the appearance of John Kaminski on Jim Fetzer's radio show (guest hosted by Kevin Barrett) on October 14. I heard the original broadcast, and voiced my opinion on the Barrett interview, the tone taken in WING's response, and the increasing tendency of WING-TV to play "Pin the Blame on the Hebrew." Both Victor and Lisa responded with alacrity, and at length, to my letter, and Victor posted his reply to my letter as a WING article, The Cancer: A Response.

I had not intended posting my original letter to WING, but do so here only to have my view represented fully, and in context. What I have here stated does not represent a consensus between me and any other member of this forum, but is my own opinion entirely:

Dear Victor and Lisa,

I have great respect for your work in bringing about the acceptance of the controlled demolition of the WTC buildings as the standard explanation, as well as for your efforts in exposing what really occurred in Shanksville, PA. I've long admired your fierce sincerity in fighting the controlled media and the left gatekeepers to get the word out that 9/11 was indeed a self-inflicted wound.

I've felt lately though that WING-TV has come too much under the sway of mean little bigots like John Kaminski. I heard the Kevin Barrett interview, and I'm afraid I share his distaste for wholesale slander of an entire ethnic/religious group. Kaminski was polite and didn't shout, but I found his statements sick-making. (They reminded me of a CD I have of Nazi propaganda recordings featuring twisted parodies of American popular songs. I can't listen to more than a few tracks at a time. The recordings are palpably evil.)

Kevin Barrett said that he wished that Israel had never been established. That should be enough to satisfy any questions about his opinions on Zionism. He ended the interview not because he's some sort of Zionist tool or Crypto-Jew, but because he is a sensitive person and felt genuine revulsion at hearing such talk. He is intelligent enough to see that Kaminski's Hegelian Dialectic (you're either with us or with the Jews) is invalid.

Nor is it evidence of a Globalist agenda to reject jingoistic nationalism. (There's Mr. Hegel!) Just because we have an understanding that, as human beings, we're all in this together doesn't mean we hanker for a New World Order. Quite the reverse.

I'd have to say your "cancer" metaphor was clumsy, inaccurate, and somewhat offensive. My mother died of multiple cancers on November 18, 2004 after struggling for five years to live. It wasn't a "Jewish" cancer. I can't equate a human being, no matter how nasty, with that disease. (And I certainly wouldn't characterize a whole race of people as such.) All human beings are theoretically capable of redeeming themselves or of finding redemption through grace. (I'm not religious, but I won't dismiss it out of hand.) To suggest that certain people can't be redeemed leads to the assertion that they should be "cut out." Now we're back to Hitler again.

The true Globalist agenda is this: the elites of all nations are basically buddies--Jew, Arab, Christian, Communist, Capitalist, what have you. All conflicts are essentially intramural--they set us as each other's throats not merely for the sick entertainment value it affords them, but because when things get really dicey they'll feel justified in stepping in to impose their One World dictatorship. Anyone who engages in such jingoistic, ethnic, religious, or racial roughhousing is playing into their hands. (Watch H.G.Wells' "Things to Come" and you'll get a sense of it--there's a rough blueprint, courtesy of the Fabian Socialists.)

If there is a "cancer" to be extirpated from our world at large, it isn't any one race of people but the irrational hatred of the Other that drives us ever closer to slavery and ruin. Bigots like Kaminski are carriers of this malignant virus. Fortunately, there's a cure--just stop hating.

You'll disagree with what I've said, and perhaps even sneer at it. So be it. I felt it had to be stated. I wish you peace.

ANGUS REID POLL: ONLY 16% PREFER 9/11 KOOL-AID

According to the latest Angus Reid New York Times/CBS poll most Americans can clearly smell a rat with regard to the 9/11 Official Story. Only 16 percent are sticking their fingers in their ears and singing "The Star Spangled Banner" to drown out the truth. 53 percent feel that there is somewhat of a cover-up, while 28 percent are on board with 9/11 Truth and their names are being taken down by the NSA for future reference. Three percent are still considering switching to another beverage, which is encouraging.

Any help at all from any of you would be really great. I was targeted with
two of my comrades for our political beliefs because our flag, according
to the cop, was "a symbol of violence" and is generally used "to waive
around to incite people to do violent things". Luckily I have witnesses,
photographic and video evidence to prove my innocence of assaulting the
police (which I may be charged with).

Other than that, things are fine with me. I feel more committed than ever
before to help prisoners, political and otherwise, in our country. I know
some of you have spent time already - hopefully, I won't have to.

On October 5th, 2005, a small contingent of Students for a Democratic
Society (SDS) and anti-capitalists converged at the World Can’t Wait rally
in Seattle, Washington at Cal Anderson Park. The group planned to attend
the rally then leave to hold workshops and skill shares with their peers.
While sitting in the park sharing a melon before the rally, a cop on a
bike approached the group and seized their red and black
anarcho-syndicalist flag. Matthew Hyra of the Seattle Police Departmend
began to walk away from the crowd telling the person who had been holding
the flag that if he wanted it back he would have to follow him, alone. At
that time everyone who was in the area stood up and followed Hyra,
demanding to know why he had taken the flag, abridging their right to free
speech.

As this happened, Hyra targeted an individual who was copwatching and
arrested him and two of his comrades. The three were booked and processed
in the King County Jail. Two of the arrested were charged with obstruction
of (in)justice and resisting arrest. The third arrested was initially
charged with obstruction, which later evolved into an investigation of
assault of an officer. The first two were released on bail at 1:00am
Friday morning and the third was released on bail at 10:00pm Friday after
an earlier appearance before a judge.

Comrades of the arrestees, the “Flag Three”, already spent hundreds of
dollars in bail expenses. The Flag Three now need support to not only
reimburse their comrades but to secure consul and future legal expenses.

The Flag Three are all active members of Olympia SDS and are also involved
in media activism, Latin American solidarity, the anti-war movement and
labor organizing. They also helped organize protests around the
militarization of the Port of Olympia in May. Two of them are still facing
charges from those actions.

Solidarity and support is needed! You can help out by organizing a benefit
concert, house party, fundraiser, or by donating directly to The Flag 3
Legal Defense Fund. This case is a serious violation of free speech and
the First Amendment and has implications far beyond the Flag Three.

If You Call Us Enough Names, Maybe We'll Just Go Away . . .

Rolling Stone, the magazine traditionally devoted to evangelizing tinnitus and brain damage, has attempted to fix its pot-addled focus on those in the 9/11 Truth effort in this latest cretinous yawp by Matt Taibbi. You can mix bullshit and bong-water and spread it on a Ritz and call it peanut butter, but the fact that you have set up a straw man and attempted to define the terms of the discussion doesn't make it so.

Taibbi fires the opening salvo neatly into his own foot, narrowly missing an artery: A few weeks ago I wrote a column on the anniversary of 9/11 that offhandedly dismissed 9/11 conspiracy theorists as "clinically insane." I expected a little bit of heat in response, but nothing could have prepared me for the deluge of fuck-you mail that I actually got. Apparently every third person in the United States thinks George Bush was behind the 9/11 attacks.

According to the poll conducted by the eminent John Zogby of Utica, it's more like forty-two percent of the American public, Matty-boy, who believe that elements within the government were either directly complicit or complicit through negligence in the events of September 11. 2001. Are all those people "clinically insane," or just not responding to your illiterate bullying? (Maybe that's why they're building detention camps--to house all us "crazy people.") But "George Bush was behind" 9/11? Here entereth the Straw Man.

The Straw Man is rampant throughout, with Taibbi affixing his homemade labels to that personage: 9/11 Truth is the lowest form of conspiracy theory, because it doesn't offer an affirmative theory of the crime. The whole basis of the 9/11 Truth effort isn't to try to come up with a Grand Theory of Everything as a template to fit over the events of that day. That's basically what the so-called Official Version does, and is hence the real "conspiracy theory." What 9/11 Truth is supremely about is to debunk the official conspiracy theory, by showing inconsistencies, omissions, and distortions in its narrative.

9/11 Truth has more questions than answers--and they're questions that prats like Taibbi can't be bothered to ask. He's too worried that "every time one of those Loose Change dickwads opens his mouth, a Republican somewhere picks up five votes." It might astonish Taibbi (since he cherishes the phony Right/Left paradigm so dearly) that a huge portion of those in the 9/11 Truth effort consider themselves "conservative." Those traditional conservatives have been emitting the most fiery rhetoric in outrage over the 9/11 cover-up. The Left truly is Home of the Gatekeepers, who wish the controversy would die down so they could get back to telling their hilarious "Bush is stupid" jokes. They're worried that the 9/11 ruckus will backfire on their Artificial Democrats.

But Taibbi is right--9/11 Truth is lousy conspiracy theory, because it's not conspiracy theory at all. At its best, it's all about physics, metallurgy, chemistry, and logic. We'd rather leave the conspiracy theory to the conspirators.

THIS is why I've abandoned the so-called Left. Matt Red-Shield is even more disgusting than his gatekeeper colleague, Mr. Nude Sunbathing Hazard.

Isn't amazing that Bush is mumbling hints about "bombs in buildings" when all these phony oppo creeps are slinging mud at anyone who counters the OLD official story? Rothschild quotes all the usual suspects, and that includes government sources. Might the fact that we had an actual coup in 2000 not taint their findings? Bush: For example, Khalid Sheikh Mohammed described the design of planned attacks of buildings inside the U.S. and how operatives were directed to carry them out. That is valuable information for those of us who have the responsibility to protect the American people. He told us the operatives had been instructed to ensure that the explosives went off at a high -- a point that was high enough to prevent people trapped above from escaping.

That's right--'cause if you placed the bombs BELOW them, they could easily escape.

He's losin' it. Big time. So, if these theoretical Islamo-fanatics were able to get into the THREE buildings of the WTC, what of brother Marvin, who was supposed to be minding the store? (Marvin sits at the kid's table at Kennebunkport this Thanksgiving, I guess.) Dubya's talk of bombs in the buildings also makes the editors of Popular Alchemics look like imbeciles, rather than mere morons. Suddenly that Kool-Aid don't taste so good--eh, boys?

They're clutching at straws, and spinning like crazy. This, of course, means that we're winning. By changing their story, they've already given themselves away.

My Letter to Leonard Pitts, Jr.

UPDATE: Pitts isn't going to appear at Hamilton College, but Utica College, on Sept. 28. I knew Hamilton had a little more class than that.

Dear Mr. Pitts,

Though the rift is not likely permanent, I consider that your recent column slamming the 9/11 truth effort is the cause of the present emotional estrangement between my wife and I. She still likes you. I'm afraid I'm less kindly disposed.

So be it. I regret to say that I'm one of those malcontents that you've attempted to humiliate and discredit with your Straw Man diatribe--and yet I stand before you bloodied but undaunted. I never expected you to climb aboard the 9/11 truth-seeking bandwagon, but I am disappointed by your campaign to slash its tires and pour sand into its crankcase.

I never wanted to devote any time and energy to this effort, but the facts, as they emerged, proved so compelling that I couldn't ignore the evidence. I suspect that a huge portion of the American public will concur that there are serious problems with the official explanation--and that elements within our government are likely complicit in the attacks. The recent John Zogby poll puts the number as high as 70 million. You've just grievously insulted all of them.

I'm sure that many of those people were fans of yours up to the minute they discovered that you consider them foil-hatted zanies. Who needs 'em, right? In fact, my wife, who still thinks that you can do no wrong, came home from work on 9/11/2001 and said, "Bush did it." I said, "Well, I don't know . . ."

I still don't know--and neither do you. Nor does the so-called 9/11 Commission. All I know is that of all the explanations offered, the one put forward by the government is the least likely. (I won't trouble you with data--no doubt you've already had reams of that from other correspondents.)

When my wife goes to hear you speak at Hamilton College, I want you to single her out and say, "Mrs. Senior, you're an idiot for believing Bush did it." She'll love it.

He lies, he plays the Ward Churchill "racism" card, he says his brother has "seen" evidence (and doesn't disclose it), he insults David Ray Griffin, he ignores the matter of Building Seven, he draws false analogies like crazy. For those of you who don't subscribe to the Nation (which I do--for the crossword puzzle) here is the full text of his odious, mendacious rant (commentary in italics mine):

You trip over one fundamental idiocy of the 9/11 conspiracy nuts in the first paragraph of the book by one of their high priests, David Ray Griffin, The New Pearl Harbor. "In many respects," Griffin writes, "the strongest evidence provided by critics of the official account involves the events of 9/11 itself.... In light of standard procedures for dealing with hijacked airplanes...not one of these planes should have reached its target, let alone all three of them." [Picking on DRG is a good way to get me pissed off in a hurry. I suppose you kick puppies when no one is looking.]

The operative word here is "should." One central characteristic of the nuts is that they have a devout, albeit preposterous, belief in American efficiency, and hence many of them start with the racist premise that "Arabs in caves" weren't capable of the mission. [You should send Ward Churchill a dollar for that swipe. Do you also believe the people in the Towers were "little Eichmans?" What tribe are you going to claim you're from?] They believe that military systems work the way Pentagon press flacks and aerospace salesmen say they should work. They believe that at 8:14 am, when AA Flight 11 switched off its radio and transponder, an FAA flight controller should have called the National Military Command center and NORAD. They believe, citing reverently (this from high priest Griffin) "the US Air Force's own website," that an F-15 could have intercepted AA Flight 11 "by 8:24, and certainly no later than 8:30." [I invite you to Google "Payne Stewart" and discover just how quickly the USAF intercepted and escorted his doomed plane. These guys are very good at what they do when allowed to do it.]

They appear to have read no military history, which is too bad because if they had they'd know that minutely planned operations--let alone responses to an unprecedented emergency--screw up with monotonous regularity, by reason of stupidity, cowardice, venality and other whims of Providence. [Yet, with all their mistakes--and there were plenty--they were able to shock and bamboozle the American people with the gruesome magic show on 9/11/2001.]

According to the minutely prepared plans of the Strategic Air Command, an impending Soviet attack would have prompted the missile silos in North Dakota to open and the ICBMs to arc toward Moscow and kindred targets. The tiny number of test launches actually attempted all failed, whereupon SAC gave up testing. Was it badly designed equipment, human incompetence, defense contractor venality or... conspiracy? [Where's the analogy? We weren't going to shoot down the "hijacked" airliners (?) with ICBMs!] Did the April 24, 1980, effort to rescue the hostages in the US Embassy in Tehran fail because a sandstorm disabled three of the eight helicopters, or because agents of William Casey poured sugar into their gas tanks in yet another conspiracy? [Now you're just being silly.]

Do the military's varying attempts to explain why F-15s didn't intercept and shoot down the hijacked planes stem from predictable attempts to cover up the usual screw-ups, or because of conspiracy? Is Mr. Cohen in his little store at the end of the block hiking his prices because he wants to make a buck, or because his rent just went up, or because the Jews want to take over the world? Bebel said anti-Semitism is the socialism of fools. These days the 9/11 conspiracy fever is fast becoming the "socialism" of the left. [And Alexander Cockburn is the Fool-Gatekeeper of Socialists. Listen, Cock--most of the 9/11 Truthers I know are either Independent or Conservative. The Lefties, by and large, are still lapping up the Kool-Aid dispensed by the 9/11 Commission and the Mainstream Media. They hate Bush more than they love the truth.]

My in-box overflows each day with fresh "proofs" of how the towers were demolished. I meet people who start quietly, asking me what I think about 9/11. What they are actually trying to find out is whether I'm part of the coven. [Here beginneth ye false analogy.] I imagine it is like being a normal Stoic in the second century AD going for a stroll in the forum and meeting some fellow asking, with seeming casualness, whether it's possible to feed 5,000 people on five loaves of bread and a couple of fish.

Indeed, at my school the vicar used to urge on us Frank Morison's book Who Moved the Stone? It demonstrated, with exhaustive citation from the Gospels, that since on these accounts no human had moved the stone from in front of Joseph of Arimathea's tomb, it must have been an angel who rolled it aside, so Jesus could exit, astonish the mourners and then ascend. Of course, Morison didn't allow the possibility that angels never existed or that the Gospel writers were making it up. [The Gospel writers didn't have hundreds of hours of first-run news footage, private videos, dozens of eyewitness accounts, seismic readings, and the laws of physics to assist them. Nobody's making this 9/11 shit up, Cock.]

It's the same pattern with the 9/11 nuts. There are photos of the impact of the "object" that hit the Pentagon--i.e., the Boeing 757, Flight 77--that seem to show the sort of hole a missile might make. Ergo, it was a missile and a 757 didn't hit the Pentagon. As regards the hole, my brother Andrew--writing a book about Rumsfeld--has seen photos taken within thirty minutes of impact clearly showing the outline of an entire plane, including wings. This was visible as soon as the smoke blew away. [Perhaps your brother would like to share some of these alleged photos with us. That would be a quick way to get us to shut up.]

And if it was a missile, what happened to the 757? Did the conspirators shoot it down somewhere else, or force it down and then kill the passengers? Why plan to demolish the towers with pre-placed explosives if your conspiracy includes control of the two planes that hit them? Why bother with the planes at all? Why blame Osama if your fall guy is Saddam Hussein? [The planes were necessary for the spectacle of it all. The 19 Islamo-fanatic hijackers with boxcutters were part of the scenario. And it had to be Osama--could you imagine Saddam inspiring anyone to die so stupidly? The script, man--the script. Can't you try to think like an American for five minutes? Without the planes, it's just insurance fraud.]

The demolition scenario is classic who-moved-the-stonery. The towers didn't fall because they were badly built as a consequence of corruption, incompetence, regulatory evasions by the Port Authority and because they were struck by huge planes loaded with jet fuel. [Yeah, it's astonishing that those cheapo towers didn't snap like twigs at the first sign of a stiff breeze.] No, they collapsed because Dick Cheney's agents methodically planted demolition charges in the preceding days. It was a conspiracy of thousands, all of whom--party to mass murder--have held their tongues ever since. [Just like how the thousands involved in the Manhattan Project blabbed and lost us World War Two, and now we all speak Ger--oh, wait. . .]

Of course, the buildings didn't suddenly pancake. People inside who survived the collapse didn't hear a series of explosions. [Cock, your pants are on fire. Does that mean your knees will pancake?] As discussed in Wayne Barrett and Dan Collins's marvelous Grand Illusion, about Rudy Giuliani and 9/11, helicopter pilots radioed warnings nine minutes before the final collapse of the South Tower that it might well go down, and similar warnings, repeatedly, as much as twenty-five minutes before the North Tower's fall.

What Barrett and Collins brilliantly show are the actual corrupt conspiracies on Giuliani's watch (see also their article in this issue); the favoritism to Motorola, which saddled the firemen with radios that didn't work; the ability of the Port Authority to scrimp on fire protection; the mayor's catastrophic failure in the years before 9/11 to organize an effective emergency command, meaning that many lives could have been saved, cops and firemen could have communicated and firemen could have heard the helicopter warnings and the Mayday messages that saved most of the police. That's the real world, in which Giuliani and others have never been held accountable. Instead, the conspiracy nuts have combined to produce a ludicrous distraction. [Hey, Cock--what about Building Seven? I said, "What about Building Seven?" I repeat, "WHAT ABOUT BUILDING SEVEN!?" CAN YOU HEAR ME!?]

Arguing the kinetic energy of a Boeing 767 hitting the Trade Center with a given fuel load, the structural integrity of the building itself, or the actual time of impact on Pennsylvania soil of United Airlines Flight 93 does not trace complicity into the Oval Office. [No, it might have been space aliens, at that.] Even finding that the Pentagon really was hit by a missile and not an airplane, or that Flight 93 was actually shot down, would not necessarily implicate the White House or prove the grand conspiracy theory. [True, it's not like any of these guys benefited from it or anything.] Many of the questions can only lead to more questions. [Like, "Are you a paid government shill?"] A whole new level of evidence [i.e., a Cheney deathbed confession] would be necessary to establish whether complicity exists.

UTICANS FOR 9/11 TRUTH MEET ELIOT SPITZER

My wife and I attended a rally here in Utica for Gubernatorial candidate Eliot Spitzer. We managed to slip him a Uticans for 9/11 Truth business card, and I said, "Forty percent of Americans want a new investigation into 9/11. This is very important to us."

We have to push forward on all fronts. And if those higher up in power hear it from enough of us, we may have some effect. As NY Attorney General, Spitzer should have investigated Larry Silverstein, Marvin Bush, et al., ages ago. Whatever his rationale, he needs to know that a huge percentage of the population isn't buying it.

E-mail Eliot Spitzer and let him know that we'd like the real 9/11 criminals prosecuted.

Back when I labored under the delusion that we live in a democracy with a two-party system, I listened to Air America. I relished Randi Rhodes' diatribes and thought Janeane Garofalo smart and cute. (It speaks for the modicum of good sense I had left that Al Franken even then gave me an immediate headache. Unfunny egomaniac Franken and his Hegelian ping-pong opponent Rush were of a piece--Bad Cop and Worse Cop.)

After the 2004 election swipe, I stopped listening. Cold. Other things emerged in my life that supplanted the frivolity of so-called party politics. But as my sense of civic duty reawakened in me (this time tempered by the realization that both major "parties" were culpable in whatever wrongdoing prevailed) I found certain islands of independent thought and activism. Strangely enough, one of them, The Mike Malloy Show broadcast on Air America.

Mike Malloy was brave enough to shatter the blockade of real information surrounding the National Myth of 19 Hijackers With Boxcutters. He did so as a happy warrior, seeking the real truth, using frank language when necessary, and giving copious airtime to those seeking to debunk the Official Story: David Ray Griffin, Robert Bowman, Alex Jones, and Webster Tarpley (whom Randi Rhodes still thinks is dead).

All this light and fresh air was too much for the undifferentiated creeping things lurking under the stones at Air Amnesia, and they begged for the dank darkness to be restored. Today, the ball-less, soul-less motherfucking bastards fired Mike Malloy. These lickers of Bush, these Benedict Arnolds of Democracy, these Quislings, these Chamberlains canned the one person who was prepared to shove the Blazing Umbrella of Truth up their own asses and open it wide.

Since the "game" (a scrimmage, really) is rigged it wouldn't do for someone like Mike with a clear eye and the fury of righteousness in his heart to spoil the fun just as Hillary's turn in the barrel is about to begin. These weasels, these scumbags, these rats, these repulsive remote-controlled toads deserve to be crushed by the dark forces they are trying to appease, if they are not in league with them entirely. Woody Allen said, "The lion will lie down with the lamb, but the lamb won't get much sleep." Consider that, "Democrats." Chew on that, pseudo-Liberals.

GOP candidate says 9/11 attacks were a hoax

A Republican candidate for this area’s congressional seat said Wednesday that the U.S. government was complicit in the Sept. 11, 2001, terrorist attacks.

In an editorial board interview with The Telegraph on Wednesday, the candidate, Mary Maxwell, said the U.S. government had a role in killing nearly 3,000 people at the World Trade Center and Pentagon, so it could make Americans hate Arabs and allow the military to bomb Muslim nations such as Iraq.Maxwell, 59, seeks the 2nd District congressional seat. The Concord resident opposes the incumbent, Charles Bass of Peterborough, and Berlin Mayor Bob Danderson in the Republican primary Sept. 12.

Maxwell would not specify if she holds the opinion that the government stood by while terrorists hijacked four domestic airliners and used them as weapons, or if it had a larger role by sanctioning and carrying out the attacks.

But she implicated the government by saying the Sept. 11 attacks were meant “to soften us up . . . to make us more willing to have more stringent laws here, which are totally against the Bill of Rights . . . to make us particularly focus on Arabs and Muslims . . . and those strange persons who spend all their time creating little bombs,” giving Americans a reason “to hate them and fear them and, therefore, bomb them in Iraq for other reasons.”

She said this strategy “would be normal” for governments, citing her belief that the British government – and not the Germany military – sank the Lusitania ocean liner in 1915. The deaths of Americans on the cruise liner helped galvanize U.S. support to enter World War I, and benefited England, she said.

In turn, the Sept. 11 attacks “made the ground fertile” for more stringent laws, such as the Patriot Act, and the creation of the Department of Homeland Security, Maxwell said.

Near the end of the interview, Maxwell pounded her fist on the table and asked editors of The Telegraph why they weren’t publishing more stories about the government’s role in the terrorist attacks or proliferation of nuclear weapons.

Maxwell has no political experience. She lived abroad for the past quarter-century with her husband, George, a pediatrician, and only recently returned to the U.S., she said.

In the hour-long interview, Maxwell spoke at length about Constitutional law, U.S. law, nuclear weapons proliferation, and other domestic and foreign policy issues.

Maxwell said the U.S. should withdraw from Iraq. She also questioned whether Congress authorized the war and said its members can’t explain that 2002 vote. (Congress authorized the use of force to defend this country’s security and enforce United Nations resolutions on Iraq.)

“Legally, we shouldn’t have gone to Iraq if Congress can’t explain why,” she said.

Maxwell described herself as a strict Constitutionalist, a candidate who wants to bring the country “back to basics.” The Constitution grants more power to the legislative branch than the other two branches, but Congress has allowed the executive and judicial branches to diminish its influence, she said.

She also said the U.S. shouldn’t immerse itself in the international community by signing trade and security pacts. These agreements have weakened national sovereignty, she said.

James H. Kunstler: The King of Cognitive Constipation

I have to admit that I admire Jim Kunstler's novels (such as The Halloween Ball and Maggie Darling) and his diatribes against urban sprawl and the Wal-Martization of America (Geography of Nowhere and Home From Nowhere), but his new fascination with/emotional investment in the Peak Oil business is more troublesome. Even worse is his total dismissal of any but the official story regarding 9/11/2001. Here are some particularly malodorous quotes:

The United States had to take Jihad seriously when Jihad hijacked airplanes and knocked down two skyscrapers and one side of the Pentagon. (And, by the way, I regard theories that Vice-president Dick Cheney "masterminded" the 9/11 attacks to be paranoid nonsense beneath discussion.)

(The 9/11 Dick Cheney fantasy is interesting insofar as it provides the nuttier elements of the peace movement with a justification for not replying to the attacks -- we did it to ourselves.)

I met Jim last year, and found him affable, but here he's being nasty--and absolutely wrong. Jim would probably respond by saying that I have a fat ass. (Jim's main objection to Michael Moore is not his left-gatekeeper status, but his obesity.) So be it.

A letter, in this instance, means a 150-word hiccup that is destined to be truncated still further by the procrustean hacks at the O-D. This is fine for the sort of barbaric yawp emitted by your average television-hypnotized, cognitively-constipated Utican, but not nearly enough to say what needs to be said on this imperative topic.

No "guest columns on the topic at this time?" In less than a month, the fifth anniversary of 9/11/2001 will occur, and with it I see the editorial page of this smarmy asswipe of an alleged newspaper loaded with articles, columns, and weepy/vengeful remembrances--but not the truth.

Let Beth DiCocco know that Uticans (and others) demand the truth about 9/11--not just another treacly rehash of the National Myth.

Additional Proof of Controlled Demolition (Of a Sort)

When I arose today at 1 PM, having gone to bed at 7 AM after putting together my radio show for today, I noticed a funny smell--a hot smell. It turns out that my wife Sue had left the burner going under the cast-iron flying pan for three hours after cooking her breakfast and leaving the house to set up her classroom.

If the Official Version is correct, why hadn't the pan and the stove turned to molten iron? The pan itself was undamaged, but it may need to be reseasoned. The stove, of course, was fine.

Love him or hate him, Alex Jones is the putative father of the 9/11 Truth movement. He appeared on Mike Malloy's program this evening, giving by all accounts a pleasant interview. The archive should be HERE within a day or so. This Thursday, August 10, Mike Malloy will be on The Alex Jones Show, accesible from his Infowars site.

For my own part, I appreciate Alex Jones, though I consider him one of many activists working to get the word out on 9/11 and mobilize people. He's supremely skilled at making people initially aware of the deceptions and misrepresentations offered by the government and the mainstream media--but his presentations do gloss over certain topics. Victor Thorn and Lisa Guliani of WING TV have cited well-documented occasions where he's censored callers to his program, among other things. If Alex Jones gets people started on their own researches of the material, that's a genuine boon, provided the research does not end with Alex Jones.

There are many paths to the top of the mountain--and to the answers behind 9/11. Of course, some of them are more twisted than others. We revere the truth far more than we revere any one person who might proclaim it.

My Letter to the Durango Herald

Hello,

A friend of mine forwarded your recent online poll on 9/11, which I noted had a preponderance of the respondents stating that 9/11 was a cover-up. (The results were 63.99% for as opposed to 36.01% against, with 3749 responding.)

Now I note that these poll results have disappeared from your website. Considering that this was one of your most popular polls, I think that might bother those who contributed. Some of them with might even suspect that you had censored the results--basing that suspicion on the shoddy treatment of the 9/11 truth movement by the media generally.

I'd be interested in knowing why the poll results disappeared. If 64% of your respondents feel that 9/11 was at the very least a cover-up, I'd say that's big news.

Within the past day the Durango Herald has removed the results of a poll stating that 64% of 3749 respondents believe that 9/11 was a cover-up. Larry of Utica forwarded the link, and I was going to post the results (it was already too late to vote on the issue) but I procrastinated. The results must have surprised/troubled/embarrassed/offended somebody.

World Trade Center conspiracy theory bunk

I see the conspiracy theorists are at it again (July 17 letter regarding Building 7). Everything is a conspiracy since the Kennedy assassination (Oliver Stone's movie, before someone brings it up, is historically inaccurate and fiction).

Now, we are to believe the government took down the World Trade Center buildings with explosives, just because it looked like a controlled demolition. I have seen a TV special with architects explaining why the buildings collapsed as they did. Once one floor gave way, it was a "pancaking" effect; nothing conspiratorial about it (other than the hijackers).

We are also to believe the government can keep these grand conspiracies quiet, even though a White House sexual encounter could not be. I will be told I am naive, and not rationally looking at it. I am supposed to believe some Web site full of suppositions and unchecked facts. What rot! It is the gullible, naive and paranoid who believe such baloney.

Proving the Impossibilty of the Pancake Collapse

With a few basic laws of physics we can show that the official account of a fire-induced, gravitational collapse of the Twin Towers on 9/11 is physically impossible.

The Towers came down in roughly 13 - 16 seconds. Freefall in a vacuum from the height their height is 9.2 seconds. (Galileo's Law of Falling Bodies) Calculations show that if the floors had magically hovered in the air with no supporting structure and provided no resistance to the floors above it would take a minumum of 15.5 seconds for 110 floors to reach the ground. (Law of Momentum Conservation)

So we have a free-fall collapse (had the floors been pancaking) indicating no resistance, yet we have the simultaneous ejection of heavy steel beams hundreds of feet and the pulverization and mushrooming of concrete and non-metallic material, indicating massive resistance. We have an impossible conflict.

An elementary energy analysis reveals a similar conflict. According to the official theory the only energy available to destroy the Towers (kinetic) was their potential gravitational energy. (Law of Energy Conservation) However the free-fall speed of the Towers means all of gravity's energy was used in bringing down the buildings leaving no energy left to pulverize the concrete, slice and eject the huge steel beams and produce to huge dust clouds that expanded to 5 times the volume of the buildings.

So what could account for the removal of resistance and the energy required to destroy the buildings? Explosives. One additional note - since the Towers were exploded from the top down, the rate of the collapse would be determined by the timing of the explosives.
